The process of plastering

Preperation
Before plastering can begin, the walls and ceilings must be prepared by cleaning and repairing any damage, such as cracks or holes, a bonding agent may be used also for high suction backgrounds.

Application of plaster
Plaster is then applied to the walls and ceilings in a series of thin layers using a trowel. The plaster is smoothed and leveled as it is applied, creating a flat surface.

Skimming
Once the initial layers of plaster have been applied, a final thin layer, known as a skim coat, is added to create a smooth, flawless finish.

Drying
The plaster is left to dry completely, which can take several days depending on the thickness of the plaster and the humidity levels in the room.

Finishing
Once the plaster is dry, it can then be painted or wallpapered as desired.
